PraisetheWarMachine

Eyes lit, on sharp threats,
From dark eye lids.
Nice threats, to soft skin,
To rough hands.

Scars will heal soon.
You shrug it off.
Except you don't.
Sad eyes, quite Christian.

We can insist on not thinking.
Useless,
Full of promise.
Robotic, when they wander into their cage.

We're young and fell in from the stars.
Now then, I'll look so smart.
Show them to my friends.
Make you participate.

No invitation, take me away.
I'm not cruel, but that's what you see.
Hungry for life, without your pity.
I don't want it, but you give it.

It wouldn't be much differently than you'd think,
With my hands like guns and crashing sounds.
Tattoo these words on your wrists.
Phone calls and atrophy break me so I cannot speak.

Show me where the money is.

Restless

I reek of time to kill. I'm here for myself. I'm an introvert and an excavator, and suddenly I woke up an innovator. Two stage psychosis, space age worries, squeeze out my habits.

diresignificance

"We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered."
- Tom Stoppard

"People cannot endure their own littleness unless they can translate it into meaningfulness on the largest possible level."
-Ernest Becker

"To a man whose mind is free there is something even more intolerable in the sufferings of animals than in the sufferings of man. For with the latter it is at least admitted that suffering is evil and that the man who causes it is a criminal. But thousands of animals are uselessly butchered every day without a shadow of remorse. If any man were to refer to it, he would be thought ridiculous. And that is the unpardonable crime."
- Romain Rolland
